What is the process to become a computer engneer?

You need to research what aspect of the computer industry you would be interested in learning.  You have to go to college for a 2 or 4 year program.  You can bypass college and take the tests for what you want to become certified as.  An example would be if you like to work on the hardware of computers then you would study to become A+ certified in Hardware.  If you want to maintain a network of computers as an engineer then you would study to become A+ network.

There is no such thing as computer engineering.

People who work in the computer industry (other than the chip makers) are just hacks that fumble along until they have a piece of c**p to sell.
