What is the procedure and from whom can we get Nigiria Visa and residence permit papers?

  1. Be careful. Mostly they will cheat you.


  2. it is not very difficult. Go to their embassy and submit the application form with passport and a reference in Nigeria.

    The Immigration office which handles visa applications is open to the public between 10.00 a.m. and 1p.m. Monday-Thursday except on public holidays, and Mondays - Fridays for Nigerian Nationals.

    All visa applications that are walked in will be processed within three working days if the requirements are met and money for exact fees are attached. If mailed in, allow a processing time of 1-2 weeks. Also enclose a return prepaid express envelope eg Fedex, UPS, USPS for you passport to be mailed back. Forms that are not fully completed signed and dated or with incomplete requirements, supporting documents will not be accepted.

    Requirements

    General:

    I. Non-refundable fees are charged on the basis of reciprocity. For U.S nationals, the fee for a single entry visa is $100.00, while $200.00 is charged for multiple entry visas. The STR fee is $335.00 and the TWP fee is $200.00. Nationals of other countries should check the web site or call the visa office on tel.# 202-822-1503, 202-822-1522 for the fees applicable to them. Evidence of sufficient fund for the visit or proof of other satisfactory arrangements for your support while you are in Nigeria. The visa officer may ask forother information from the applicants if deemed necessary. The applicants may be requested to come for an interview as and when necessary.

    1) Visitors, Tourist and Transit Visas

    A. Valid passport (at least 6 months to expiration).

    B. One recent passport photograph.

    C. A copy of round-trip ticket. (For non-Nigerians)

    D. Letter of invitation accepting immigration responsibility or evidence of financial support while in Nigeria from individual Nigerians or Nigerian organizations.

    E. Applicants for transit visas must submit copies of their onward tickets and visas to their destinations.

    F. Children must submit copies of their birth certificates showing names of their two parents.

    G. Children of Nigerian parents must submit copies of the information page of both parents passport.

    H. Tourist must submit copies of their certified hotel reservation statements.

    I. Resident aliens inviting friends must submit copies of their resident permits and the information page of their passports.

    J. Aliens married to Nigerians or invited by Nigerians must submit copies of their hosts' or spouses' passports and letters accepting responsibility.

    K. Appropriate fee in us money order.
