What is the process to get certified for teaching in California?

I currently have a Nebraska license.

You'll need to contact the CA state department of Ed. and inquire about reciprocity.  It will depend on what went into getting your original credential.  In CA we do 2 semesters of student teaching (which is probably a non-issue if you've already been teaching) and we do about 30 semester units post BA to get our credential.  I don't know how Nebraska compares.

you did not say secondary or elementary - but its all spelled out there. The short version is you'll have to document everything and apply - If you didnt take care of some state specific things - such as language aquisition verification - CLAD  - you may have to do that.
