  1. -1 * -1 = 1

    and 1 * -5  = -5

    so - 1  *   -1   *   -5    =   -5

  2. product implies multiplying.  So if this is true, the minus one times minus one equals plus one.  Times -5 = -5

  3. a negative times a negative is a postive but since your adding another negative to that the answer will be negative. so your answers 5.

    (-1) X (-1) = 1

    1 X (-5) = -5

    TADA

  4. The answer is -5.  A negative times a negative is positive (so -1 times -1 = +1) and a positive times a negative is negative (+1 times -5= -5).

Hope that makes sense! Good luck!

  5. draw yourself a vertical line .... in the middle put a zero ..... then going up from that point = all the numbers are pluses (+) .... going down from that point all the numbers are minuses (-) ......

  6. the product of -1, -1 and -5 is -5

  7. I think that the answer is -5. Let me explain. First you use the order of operation which is (PEMDAS)(parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction whichever comes first from the left to the right.) When you put two numbers together it means multiply so (-1)(-1)= +1 then when you multiply (+1)(-5) it equals -5. When you multiply the two numbers it is just like regular multiplication. After you multiply the number if the signs (+,-) or (-,+) different, the answer is going to be negative. If the signs are (+,+)  or (-,-) the answer will be positive. Here is the way I did the problem.

    (-1)(-1)(-5)

    PEMDAS

    (-1)(-1) = +1 (signs are alike)

    (+1)(-5) = -5 (signs are different)

    answer: -5

  8. Do it in pairs.  -1 times -1 equals 1. And 1 times -5 equals -5.  NEG 5 IS THE ANSWER

  9. The answer is -5. (-1) (-1) is 1 (two positives is a negative) and (1) (-5) is -5 (a positive and a negative is a negative).

  10. The product of (-1), (-1) and (-5) is -5 because 1*1*5 =5, when you multiply two negative numbers, you get a positive number, and when you multiply that positive number by a negative number, you get a negative number.
