Is it ok to have a bridal shower for a second wedding?

One would think all the necessary household gifts, etc were obtained from the first wedding.

What say you?

  1. If you want a shower, have one!  Even if the couple has basic household items, maybe they'd like new things that are "theirs."  Or fancier things, like crystal stemware, plush towels, etc.

A wedding is a celebration--do what you want!

  2. I agree that a no gift 'get together' is acceptable. I think that expecting gifts for a second wedding's shower is greedy (Unless there are extenuating circumstances)

  3. You can still have a "bridal" party. On the invitations, specify that no gifts should be bought. Have a nice get-together with friends.
