What is the proper pres sere on the co2 tank on a kegerator?

I just converted a fridge. Hooked up my first Co2 tank - double gauge. On a full Co2 tank, what should be the initial PSI reading? Right now I am at 500 psi (in the red zone).

Hello,

Each beer has a different correct psi.  Your best bet would be to call or email the beer company and ask them what the psi should be set at.  Most companys will let you know without any problem.  This way you know for sure what psi your beer should be at.
