a. Drip solder on the desired connection.

b. Heat the junction of the printed circuit pad and the component lead then melt the solder.

c. Heat the solder then flow it on the component lead.

d. Apply heat to the component lead for 2 minutes then apply solder.

  1. B. You have to heat the component lead and the board before the solder will adhese to it.
