  1. Technically, we wouldn't know.  It's a transliteration from Middle Egyptian, which, like other Semitic languages such as biblical Hebrew and modern Arabic, does not have vowels.  All we have from written records is something like T-R-T, and we're left to fill in the vowels.  Scholars can make educated guesses by using all their complex liguistic stuff, but they're only educated guesses.  For all we know Ancient Egyptians pronounced her name as "Taurt," "Tauret," etc.  So, there is no proper spelling since we use an entirely different writing system than the Kemitic people, and we wouldn't exactly know how her name would have been pronounced since vowels were entirely absent.

  2. In Egyptian mythology,

    >>>>>Taweret<<<<<

also spelt Taurt, Tuat, Taueret, Tuart, Ta-weret, Tawaret, and Taueret

Her name means (one) who is great.

She was originally goddess of evil.
