  1. putting your weight into it, plus balance, straight punches no round houses.

  2. ur punching power comes from ur legs and hips and abs and ur back and triceps.. most important thing is that when u throw a punch u need to rotate ur legs and hips so u can punch hardest u can

  3. power comes from when you pivot your feet and twist your hips. practice doing this on a heavy bag. you should go to a boxing gyme if you want to improve. you will only get so far on your own.

  4. the power of a punch starts at the ground and moves up... you need to be able to pivot on the foot, rotate the hips, use the power of the lats and follow through, and most importantly, if you want a knock out, you have to be able to land that punch on the button.  a powerful punch will rock someone but it needs to hit a 'night night' spot or it is only gonna rock 'em.  If it lands on a button, it doesnt have to be hard, just exact.

  5. You'll be best off finding a trainer to teach you how.  But the way to land telling blows without a lot of natural physical power is to locate your punches in such a way to maximize brain shake.  In all my sparring, I've never been dropped, but the closest I came was from a very light hook.  My opponent placed the hook in such a way so that I didn't see it.  Since I was relaxed, it spun my head sideways.  I began to drop, but regained myself quickly.

So punch with follow-through.  If you're throwing a straight punch, aim as though your trying to punch through the face and out the back of the head.  If you're throwing a looping punch, aim for the lower jaw, near the chin, which will cause the head to swivel around like a bobble head doll, once again focusing on follow through, like a baseball bat follow through when hitting a ball.
