  2. I don't think it really matters what order you introduce them in. Generally, I'll introduce the person who we see second first, like if you're walking with someone and then you bump into someone you know. Usually, it just goes like, "This is _____. I met him/her at _____. ____, this is _____." And then they'll converse politely for a few minutes.

I don't know if there's a formal way to it, haha.

  3. You would introduce the younger person to the older one.

You would introduce your spouse to your boss.

You would introduce  your friend to your parents.

Yes, the order does matter.  You introduce  TO the more respected one.

  4. "Carol the waitress, Simon the f*g." -- Jack Nicholson

    Just kidding.

    Start with this hierarchy:

1.) The newest person to the group

2.) The oldest person being introduced (unless they're not new to the group)

3.) Women get introduced first (unless they're not the newest or oldest)

4.) Authority figures (in a business environment this moves up to spot 1)

    5.) The less staturous person

6.) The person whose first name begins with a letter closer to Z

7.) The person to your right

If a particular category doesn't apply, move to the one below.  If both apply, move to the one below.
