What is the proper way to RSVP to a Wedding Invite?

I need to fill out an RSVP for a wedding. This is what the RSVP looks like:

M_______________________________

Will ________________ Attend

I put our names on the first line and on the second line I put "gladly"... lol. Is that ok? Is that how this was supposed to be filled out?

  1. put the total number of people coming in that line....I'm sure bride will be be happy to hear you gladly coming, but not quite the purpose of the line! :)

  2. Sounds good to me!

  3. That's fine - I always put "gladly" or "happily".  The names that are entered should be the names that the invitation came addressed to.  Your name and guest - or Mr & Mrs - If the invite came only addressed to one person - only that person is invited.

  4. Yes, it sounds great.

The M is for Mr./Mrs., and in theory, you should write "r. and Mrs. John Smith" on the first line.

The blank in the second line is an opportunity for those guests who can't attend to write in the word "not".  Your addition of gladly is a nice touch!

  5. If you put all of the names of those who will be attending on the first line, then putting gladly is perfectly acceptable.

  6. Mr. and Mrs. John Smith on line one

will be able to/will not be able to

or gladly if thats what you'd like.

  7. That's an odd way for them to do it. I would just circle the "will" and send it back. The line is for you to write "not" if you can't make it, but they didn't really leave you a clear option for sending back a yes response.

  8. Normally you put the number of guests attending. Mine are set up like this:

    M_________________

___ Will not attend     ____ Will attend

And my guests put a number next to one of them. I wonder if they just did them wrong or left that space for the word "NOT".

  9. no its how many will attend.  but i've never seen it written like that.  weird.

    EXAMPLE:

    Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

    2 Attending

thats how i always seen it.  just write how many in your party will be attending

EDIT:  okay now i get it after looking at it for like 5 minutes haha it was bugging me.

    Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

    Will BE Attend(ing)
