At a local Chinese restaurant they server very yummy garlic shrimp. Unfortunately the shimp not only still have the shells still on but also the legs. Since the whole thing is garlic encrusted, not only do I get extremely messy when trying to take apart the shrimp, but i end up discarding most of the seasoned part. Does anyone have a way I can do this better (and more sophisticatedly)?

  1. You are not spose to eat the tail.

  2. try cutting straight down the vertical way of the shrimp and pulling it apart cleanly

  3. Ask to have it prepared without the shells and legs.  That way you don't have to worry about it!

  4. KILL....EVERYONE.

  5. There are a number of dishes, including the one you describe, which are not easy to deal with.  The trade off is whether your enjoyment justifies the mess and the spectacle you make of yourself in public - if yes, go ahead and shell the shrimp with your hands, if no, order something else and make the shrimp at home.

  6. Unfortunately, you're gonna have to use your fingers to tear the shells off.

  7. You have to peel them off the back,

  8. i peel off the leg and shell most of the time.

my mom eat it with the shell but without the leg and tail because it was fried and crunchy .

  9. Didn't the restaurant provide clamps?

Normally when my parents order the dish and it's just us, we just dig in :), but if we're with company, we use these metal clamps the restaurants should provide, to break open the shells.

I've also seen some people just take the tail off, and pull the meat out, but I guess their like hecka pro because I've never been able to do that.

    Hope this helps! :D

  10. by chewing it, bro.
