I live in Louisana. I hear people say "I made 30 today". I say "I am 30 years old today".

  1. I am 30 years old... or I am 30 years old today.. if the persons birthday is on that particular day.. is better grammatically and would be used in the UK and in Canada rather than I made 30 today.. that could mean.. I made 30 bucks today... could lead to misunderstandings unless there is a context that makes it plain the person is talking about the birthday..

  2. Either way is fine

  3. Let them look at your teeth. ; )

  4. That's just what some people say, not all. Either way is fine.

  5. You don't have to tell anyone your age unless asked and even then it's no body's business.  When I'm asked that - I teasingly tell people that you aren't supposed to ask a woman her age or that they are being nosey.  If you don't care then just say whatever age you are.

I'll be 60 next month and proud of it.  Any way you say it is perfectly fine.

  6. If I heard that for the first time I would be inclined to ask you made 30 WHAT today?!?  Sorry, it must be a regional thing.

  7. both will do, however i would say. " i'm 30" short and simple?

  8. I would say I have turned 50 today.

  9. Actually it is very rude to ask someones age...I don't believe there is a proper way to tell your age.
