Should hands be clenched into a fist or relaxed and free?

Should you move your arms?

If so, when should you move your arms? At the same time you're moving the corresponding directional leg? (left leg-left arm)

How much should you move your arms?

  4. Here's one way...saw some guys doing this last year in London...hip hop is big there...

    But once upon a time a person supposed to walk not swinging you body from side to side (that works if you walk stepping with your heels on imaginable 4 inches wide lane), during a walk not moving a body up and down, bob / bouncing (hard to achieve at first, but here is a hint: when you try "roll-like" waking from "heel to big toe" it almost impossible to bounce. Chin straight, don't lower you head.

    Hands go in opposite, left foot-right hand, right foot-left hand, sequence, always close to the body, very slightly bended.

    The hands nor be clenched, neither straight. Relaxed, but curled...as you carrying a tight rolled newspaper. Shoulders: no slouching.

    Attitude: with confidence, but without cockin*ess…

    And it just might happens that world will be yours! :)

  11. i would just stand in one place, close your eyes take a few deep breaths in and out and relax your body then go. do whats comfortable, walking isn't supposed to be some difficult thing, it should look effortless. so relaxed hands, move your arms back and forth if you feel the need, i think they naturally move sometimes and just enjoy what you see.

  13. Close your eyes and start walking with out thinking about it. Preferably in your back yard and not in the street or near a cliff. That's the way YOU walk. Don't try and mimic the walk of rappers and other lower class individuals.

    let your arms relax... they'll do their own moving as your weight shifts and moves.

    Don't forget to move your legs, one at a time.  (heel - toe).
