  1. This understanding enables parents, caretakers and teachers to better facilitate the needs of the quickly-developing child.

  2. I'm a psychology major and i learned that who we are right now is all because of how we were raised/educated/taught when we were young. I think everyone SHOULD go through early childhood education because it's the foundation of EVERYTHING these kids will become in the future. Without it, i don't think people will develop a strong sense of self in the future. :)

  3. to learn communitive skills, socializing self confidence, and self reliance

  4. I teach Kindergarten in public school. Kindergarten is the new 1st grade. There is no more playing, painting, etc. When we get these kids in August, they have to already know a lot. They really should know their letters and numbers and how to write their name. Knowing letter sounds is a HUGE plus. We start the ground running to get these kids reading by Christmas. Preschool gets them ready.

  5. The purpose of early childhood education is to provide the child with the self confidence he needs in school. This will enable the kid to have better listening skills, follow directions, and interact with other kids..sharing. If he learns phonics, this will give him a head start because in kinder, the teachers move very quickly. And if the child gets discourage he or she will be saying "I CAN'T" instead of "I CAN". A child needs to have fun and want to learn and want to go to kinder. Like I said to have his or her head held high with self confidence and a smile is a beautiful thing.
