I work for a small family owned business, they are using an outside IT firm, who just installed Citrix Neighborhood agent, a pernament citrix to our computers. What would be the point of this, whats it for? We have and require a small server.

The employees are having problems with it, I think because of font, they are having problems with acrobat, and getting MIME errors. How do we deal with the changes, and are we to expect anymore problems.

What are the common problems with this software?

  1. Citrix, is a very good, very solid Remote Access system. It sets up a connection to view a remote computer or access your office from whereever your computer is located.

Do you need it?  I don't know what you are need to accomplish so can't answer that!  It is commonly used for REMOTE operations and sometimes because that is what the "consultant" knows how to use!  If everything is local within your office, I really have no idea why it would be installed or used. If you have some applications that require remote connections.. then its a good system to use. It does require correct configurations!
