What is the purpose of the Federal Government?

What is the Federal Government's function? What is the job/role of the Federal Government? In essence what is the Federal Government's mandate? I have searched and googled, all I can come up with is the Preamble to the Constitution, which states:

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

The terms in this preamble are loosely defined "promote the general welfare", "insure domestic tranquility", "secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity". So, does this mean that the government should not only give me a job, but give me health care, transportation, and a home? To insure my domestic tranquility and promote my general welfare? Come on liberals at what point should I quit depending on the Federal Government ans start depending upon myself?

The governments original purpose was to ensure our liberties and safe guard our country and our lives.

That was the original intent and the government has been straying from it ever since. But nothing like the way the government has turned liberty into a fascist state in the recent years. Calling bills like the patriot act as if it were a patriotic act when it is completely opposite.

The government was not meant to provide for people on a personal basis.

We are not entitled to any service because the government has nothing except what the people give it. This includes health care and retirement, for these services are better had in the free market where without government regulation and oversight would quickly become competitive and prices would lower and products would get better.

A great example of that is in cell phones and computers, these two items havent been produced or regulated by government entities therefore they are getting better and cheaper. If the government was in control of these they would quickly become expensive and a lower quality.

So the original intent was to give the people the means for a happy free life without government oppression that is why the founders despised a democracy and chose wisely instead for a republic ruled by laws instead of majority rules which always in  the past history of man has ended up an Oligarchy which is a country ruled by a small group.

Here it is Oil companies ruling our country with wars for profit and blood for oil. Large media companies that sell out the American people by not being the watchdog but rather the propaganda artist deceiving us into cheering for our oppression. The international Bankers that are none other than the Federal Reserve, which without regulation or oversight print our money and loan it to our government with interest added and create these false interest rates that end up bankrupting the American people and creating a 2 class system rich and poor.

In todays times where the feds have with the help of certain crooked government representitives like Phil Gramm , close buddy and right hand man of Johnny Striaght talk my A** Mccain, has brought this country to its knees with the falling dollar. Our economy is great right now compared to what it will be in the next couple of years,  hold on tight.

Beware that "goddam piece of paper" As mentioned by George Bush the constitution is in grave danger. Our rights are being stripped almost daily, we are over taxed over regulated and this empire is about ready to find out if its going to survive its bad decisions.

Our press is now giving such propaganda that many people think Russia invaded Georgia, when in fact the Georgia Country is a US backed country for its own military gain. Bush?Cheney prodded this little US installed president into attacking Russia giving him assurance we would be there if they were attacked. HA

Georgis Attacked South Ossetia which was claimed by both countries a while back with a vote of 95% to be liberated and be its own country.

The north Ossetia province lies in Russia as did georgia and south Ossetia just 30 years ago. When the break of the Soviet Union came about these countries broke away. Then out of no where, with no pre notion or justification Georgia went into South Ossetia and tried to commit genocide,killing 2000 people all but 20 civilians in their homes and on the streets with rockets and tanks. Mercilessly slaughtering elderly and children. After 24 hours of attack on S. Ossetia and Georgia killing about 20 Russian peace keepers, Russia stepped in as any self respecting nation would whose people most of which are Russian are being killed. Some would say with a little more force than needed but hey how else are you going to teach a bully not to kill innocent people without warning. Our news has black as white and white as black with intension because tour media and the government are no controlled by the same elite group and their plans will not be foiled. Where we once feared the repercussion of war with Iran is mere childs play when you take into account our pres and condi the killer Rice have talked down to Russia and lied saying they were the ones to blame. This is lunacy and shows just how much our government has taken control of the people and our country making people feel powerless. We are about ready to embark on a war that will include nuclear weapons and our failed government is looking at Russia?

Wow, with more nuclear ships and subs in the Persian gulf Than we have ever had since ww2 and now Russia sending the same in the same area, what do you think is going to happen?

With the North American Union and the new world order close to becoming complete unless the elite is defeated by Russia , we are heading for times unimaginable to any, be prepared.
