I am doing an exegetical paper on 1 Peter 5:8,9 and I need to understand the roar of a real lion

  1. the lion roars to announce his presence and second to frighten his enemies. like many other animals before fighting they try to determine the opponent to flee instead of fighting.  as for 1 Peter .. they say the roar of that lion is to scare you so you would be weak and vulnerable.


  2. the lion raors to show it's strength and pride.
