  1. To carry blood. Who doesn't know this!

  2. arteries carry oxygen rich blood from the heart to the rest of the body's organs.

veins carry oxygen poor blood away from the the body's organs and to the heart.

veins and arteries also carry antibodies, white blood cells, other immune system cells, nutrients, and hormones

  3. o_O

    to carry... things...

  4. *A*rteries carry blood *a*way from the heart. Veins carry blood back to the heart.

Arteries generally have blood that's rich in oxygen and veins generally have blood that is low in oxygen. The exception is the pulmonary (going to the lungs) arteries and veins - they're the opposite.

Arteries are usually strong and thick because they have to deal with high blood pressure. Veins are thinner because blood pressure is low in them.

  5. for the blood and all to go one way from the heart back around the other way thru the other ones and pass the the little things called...well look it up
