Question:

What is the quality of life in Paris, France like?

It's always been my dream to live in Paris, and as an American I was wondering how the transition would be like for me to move there. What society and social boundaries would I have to overcome? Would it be easy to find a job? What about housing?

Any information would be helpful!

  1. There are at least two Paris - the myth which attracts tourists

and the other one where people live -

Except if you're an oil king, you'll have to find a flat in the suburbs, experience the craziness of queeuings, public transports, traffic-jams, strikes, very changing meteorology ( changing of course toward the worse ), high levels of prices -

You must know that with the same salary and investment capacity you still can be an earl in provincial cities and for the same level a valet in Paris -

you'll experience a miserable social life and will believe that your neighbours hate you, as it is the same for anybody, everybody his corner -

Otherwise Paris is one of the world-navels, and as such enables you to purchase anything money can buy, and tavelling very easily anywhere -

  2. stephane is too bad with Paris.

In Paris there are "poor" ppl in North and east, "people with money "in west, center and south.

You have to know than Paris is very expensive but with 2 million of ppl living there, you have a grand choose to find a flat or a house.

Personaly, i live in the suburbs and its not too hard as ppl think, maybe cause i know the good personns.

In Paris, you find all what you want and for all type of monney.

But realy you'll need a bit of monney to find a good flat. Thats too hard to explain, if you need we can talk on msn, contact me in privat, ciao
