Scrounge for copper, aluminum, or other metals to recycle.  The value of all metal has skyrocketed in the past year as the dollar weakens.  Copper is worth close to $2 a pound and can be found in pipes, electrical cables and car parts.  Look for discarded radiators and thrown away window a/c units.  Also any type of motor will have copper wire in it.  Look for thrown out appliance of any kind. Usually a few dollars can be made off each of them.
