  1. actually it's something that can and should be rushed. primary flight training is nothing other than preparing for the practical and written test so you can be certificated and THEN start learning. If you're smart you'll set aside one month, schedule an independent cfi, find the ground instruction and be done with it in that  month. flying is very straight forward and anybody can learn. and there is certainly nothing involved in the acacemics if you made it through sixth grade. good luck and get er done and don't listen to all the c**p about how difficult the process is or how much time it should take.

  2. There are many different places you can go to learn. Go to beapilot.com, they can help you find local flight schools. There are local flight clubs, where you purchase a share of an airplane and then find an instructor who will teach you. As far as going quickly, there are accelerated programs, usually part of an airline academy.

Rushing into anything is a bad idea, especially becoming a pilot. It requires a huge commitment, both in time, and financially. Learning to fly safely should be your first concern.

  3. According to FAA rules, in order to get your pilot license, you need:

-At least 40 hours of flight time

-At least 20 hours flying with an authorized instructor (dual flight)

    This must include at least:

    -3 hours of cross-country flight

-3 hours of night flying, including one cross-country flight of at least 100 nautical miles

    -3 hours of instrument training

-3 hours of practical test preparation with your instructor

-At least 10 hours flying cross-country by yourself (solo flight)

Also you have to pass the FAA exam and medical certificate. So it's up to you how fast you can complete these requirements.

Check out http://www.mypilotlicense.com to get more info on this. This is a website for newbies. Hope this helps. Good luck!

  4. you can try to get your ultralight or sport pilot license first.  try http://www.freedomfield.com to see what i'm talking about.

  5. Here in the USA, there are some excellent accelerated pilot training programs. Most of these are in New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Florida (due to the excellent flying weather in those states).

For a private pilot's license, figure about three weeks of flying a couple of times each day through the program. You can also expect to pay between $6k and $10k depending on aircraft, area, etc.

While there are some benefits to prolonging your training over time, I found that taking time caused me to constantly have to catch up on skills and relearn things I had down pat a month before. Take a local ground school class and exam, get your medical, and then go to the flight portion. Good luck and safe skies!

  6. this is something that is not designed to be rushed, there is a lot to learn in relation to aviation/aeronatics, not just flight itself trust me, if you dont have the time, dont invest your energy into doing it
