What is the quietest air rifle? Gamo whisper? Does RWS make a quiet one?

I know it should be subsonic and I dont need extreme accuracy. But if it can be accurate to 2-3 inches at a 100 yards that would be nice. I have never owned an air rifle only bigger stuff so I am looking for advice. Thanks.

If your after quiet...

First thing is your going to have to stay away from the spring and pump air rifles. Your gonna have to go with CO2. The spring releasing in a single c o c k air rifle is pretty dang noisey, and it adds a lot to the recoil. Clacking away, pumping up a pump rifle makes a good bit of noise also.

I don't know anything about Gamo's new "air spring" rifles like the Whisper...but I bet they are still more nosiey than a CO2 rifle.

G'day mate i sure the quietest air rifle is a 17cal that shoots about 750 fps,their are allot of models that make this type.The .22 air rifle goes about 1120 fps but that still has a cracking sound like a 22 Lr.But i would just shoot subsonic they just do the same speed like the .22 air rifle some go less than that.I have shot one that i did a reading on and that was 980 fps with a subsonic. cheers mate
