  1. The selection is random by procedure and there is no other way.  Thus, you have no choice but wait for the outcome whether or not you are picked.

  2. Oh stop whining and do your civic duty, if you even get polled just say tell the truth and if they pick you as a juror use your common sense, after you viewed the evidence. Truly its a walk in the park and you get paid,

  3. It means you may be on call for jury duty.  You don't have to have law experience, just be a registered voter, which obviously you are or you wouldn't have gotten the summons.  You'll learn everything you need to know at the meeting that will be scheduled.  You can be fined or a warrant can be issued for your arrest if you fail to show for jury duty.  If you can't perform your duties, you'll have to ask to be excused at the meeting.

  4. Every American has the constitutional right to have a trial by jury. This means that courthouses have to randomly select people to come in for jury duty. If you register to vote or have a driver's license, you are on their list of possible jurors. If they only had volunteers be jurors, they probably wouldn't have enough people, and they might even be very biased compared to the general population.

Read your summons carefully. It should have instructions on what to do next, like calling the night before to know if you have to go or not. Your employer cannot fire you for going to jury duty but they don't have to pay you either (many employers do though).

You don't need any experience in law. If they pick you for the jury, the judge will explain any laws regarding the case, and the lawyers usually make their case in a way that average people can understand.

  5. all u do is sit n watch

its where u putthat ur able to vote and htey jsut pick you.. u have 2 go thio

  6. Yes when you sign up to vote your placed on that list,    but as long as you dont have to sign for that mail, then they can not prove you ever got it, so just throw it in the trash or go be on the jury

  7. Go where it tells you; or plan on doing jail time for contempt.

Just go; the judge will figure you out pretty quick

  8. You have to call when the summons says to call.  You will be told wether or not to show up for the next day.

  9. Jury service is a duty for all citizens.  Everybody else takes their turn - now it is your turn.

  10. Welcome to the USA, I'm assuming you're a new citizen?  Everyone over 18 has to serve as a juror.  It's not optional.  You don't need experience in law.  That's just how it works.
