What does the term "turning model" on wood baseball bats mean?

Also, is a louisville slugger C243, C271, or T141 a good bat for college?

  1. The turning model is the bat that the bat maker is copying. The new bat then takes the same model number, such as C243 etc. Each different model will have different dimensions such as barrel diameter, handle diameter and length, and k**b size and shape. Any model of Louisville Slugger will be fine for college. I would suggest choosing the pro grade bat, it costs a little more but is better wood.
