  1. the ideal pH range is around 7.0 which is neutral

    my water around where i live has a pH of 7.8, and my serpae tetras thrive in it

    i have had them in pH as high as 8.6 because of africans, and they still thrived from it

    the most important part is stable ph, more then the right pH
