  1. I really don't know about the distance in kilometers. But believe me I was able to listen FM stations of Delhi in Solan and Shimla districts of Himachal as I had saved their frequency in my fm radio phone. Otherwise you are not able to listen them through tuning. You need to know exact frequency. I was going from Delhi to Shimla. I was not able to listen to them in Haryana or Chandigarh (through the journey). But upon reaching height in Himachal I was able to listen in certain places (not at all places as being a hilly area). Up on tuning I was also able to listen Chandigarh stations. I live in Delhi and belongs to Himachal (Solan / Arki)

  2. The coverage area of any radio station depends on the amount of wattage they are broadcasting.  Also the coverage area of a radio station depends on how high their antenna, or tower is.

Stations are limited in their "power" as to not interfere with other stations operating on the same frequency in other geographic areas.

  3. Range of Fm is 88Mhz to 108Mhz.it 's not possible to catch another state station.as Radio is not catch frequency far from particular distance.
