I don't know.  But I'm interested in the answer.  India has a very professional, and most powerful land force in the region.  A growing navy.   Only real local challenge would be China.

According to the data,india ranked 3rd in the world.But why you will worry for the ranking?the fact is war no longer about the army size or how many tanks you have,is about tactic and strategy.Why USA worry about terrorism?Because this the new strategy to make them scared and lose faith.Why USA retreat in Vietman's war?Because they can't handle the guerillas.Ranking is just a fake thing,war is always about thinking one step forward and technology.
