What is the rate for baby sitting these days. One, two or three children together?

Does it matter how old the children are?Does the age of baby sitter matters as well? for example, The sitter is a retired teacher who is good with kids.

Might vary some by location, but here where I live it's $8 for the first child and $4 per additional child.  So for 3 children total, that would be $16/hr.  Lot's of people do charge less...but the experienced sitters are well worth it!!

i baby sit 2 girls ages 7 and 2 1/2 and i get paid $4 an hour. i have some experience,i worked in the nursury in our church for about 3 years.then we moved.lol.

well when i babysit for 9 hours a day 5 days a week I get paid 75 dollars and i am 17. But someone with actual children experience (meaning they have had children) should be paid alot more like 100-200 a week

It depends where you live, the age of the children, and the experience of the sitter. I'm an experienced babysitter so I get $10/hr.

Ive heard different rates....Like a rate per child...and other per hour...and others per hour per child...I think the age of the children matters because different ages require different needs and attention and energy....also the cost of food unless you are providing all of that. Unless the sitter is a younge teen (were you can sertainly charge less) then you should have a decent steady rate.

Well... If the kid is still in dipers you get charged more. because you have to change them feed them and play with them and burp them....

If the kid is a toddler... it drops a little bit but it is still a good amount.

If the kid is in school kindergarden plus it isn't really a lot...

I charge:

Infants/dipers- 7.00 per hour.

Toddlers- 5.00 per hour.

Kids- 3.00 per hour.

And for muliple I double it.

And... it also depends on where you live.

Age does matter.  Weither the child is dependant on themselves or not.

baby-4  $4/hour

4-8 $3/hour

9-older $2/hour

If you have 2 kids together $5/hour is plenty

3 kids together $6/hour is enough

also depending on their ages.  Now if you have all babies then a little more.
