  1. a turkey should gain close to two pounds per week and your 10 pound turkey  by thanks giving should be about 14 pounds and there is nothing wrong with that size of a bird

  2. Commercially grown toms average a bout 38-42 lbs at 19 weeks old.  This varies with growing conditions, weather and such.  These have been selectively bred for many years to get this growth rate, but it is still done without any other form of genetic manipulation or hormones.  Just well picked parents and good nutrition.  BTW breeder turkeys can pass 100 lbs.

  3. r u talking a commercial gene modified turkey, a organic style turkey or native wild turkey?

  4. Turkeys gain about 1.75 pounds per week so your birds should weigh about 17 pounds by Thanksgiving.  A little on the small side.  They will be a better size for sale at Christmas.

  5. The average rate of gain for non-infected non-medicated (NINM) turkeys is 30.48 grams per day, or about 9.05 pounds by "T-Day", bringing your total to: almost nineteen lbs.(make sure your feed is optimal and it could be a little more).Good luck and "Happy Thanksgiving" in advance!
