50:1 This is a good place to start. If you get way to much smoke back off a little. Always use a top of the line 2 cycle oil

if you put 50-1 you will blow your engine,    its norm 25-1 or 20-1   try 20-1 first if to much smoke then gotto 25-1

and take no notice of the previous answer that says use cycle oil........DON,T.........

only use outboard oil that is prepared for outboards.

it has extra detergent in it that cycle oil does not have
