What is the real reason American soldiers are demolishing every large building in Iraq

Officially it's to find terrorists, just like officially the U.S. invaded Iraq because of WMDs (even though they never found any). But what's the real reason?

Is this supposed to create more business for American architects and construction workers in the future?

Why do you believe the NEWS MEDIA that's only purpose is to make money for their company's medium?? You are not told everything by the military because the world can not handle the whole truth.

@dded : Lack of the Military verifying or denying the retrieval of WMDs to the world does not mean none were found. The world had proof ( WMDs are NOT JUST Nuclear in nature They include Biological, chemical, conventional explosives), Saddam's gassing of the Kurds was proof of WMDs!

The real reason? I think its cuz buildings make good hiding spot for insurgents and many US Servicemen get jump and kill easily when passing a building or storming it.

You know the CIA intelligence did state that Iraq has WMD. Senators including Hilary Clinton voted for war.

Even thou there was no WMD, it was a good thing overthrowing Saddam Hussein from power and making Iraq a democracy.

   i find your question offensive,i woudn't fault good sodiers for blowing up every building above ground level,and the idea of running into a mosque as if to say  "base you can't shoot me" policy is completely absurd.

if you think you can fix things go on over and do something, i did .

They aren't, but they should be. Larger structures give terrorists ample hiding places, are nearly impossible to fully clear, and can be death traps to American forces that have to deal with them. Until you've attempted to clear a multi-floored structure that is an enemy stronghold you couldn't possibly comprehend how dangerous it is.

Because   that    is   what    they    do.

They blow sh*t up and kill people. WTF do you think the military does? They locate, close with, and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver or repel the enemy's assault by fire and close combat (that means hand-to-hand).

As for the tall buildings, maybe they are getting tired of snipers shooting at them from way on high.

And they DID find WMDs. Just not many. The real question is, what did they do with all the rest? But why let the facts get in the way.

It could be but the real reason is because the americans just want to get even with the Iraqis for being terrorist and stuff. Also its so they can test out new weapons for use against other nations without having to send reports to the UN.

considering how many times the Bush administration flip flopped, I think we have to leave it up to the historians to find a "real" reason for the invasion. But according to McCain the real reason still remains USA! USA! USA!
