  1. The acute diesel shortage in chennai and other parts of the state has started to impact businesses. Industrial establishments and IT parks are now scurrying for diesel to maintain their stock to power gensets. The main reason is power cuts.  The frequent power cuts are the real reason for diesel shortage.
