What is the real situation in Iraq?

I mean what is going on as of now July 23? where can i go to get the facts? other than CNN or USA media?

yea a whole lot of noting, I am a soldier currently in Iraq and i have time to answer questions on yahoo answers so it must not be that bad. we only have 1 KIA in 9 months last time i deployed we were already at 5.  so obviously the situation has gotten a lot better.

To know the real situation prevailing in iraq, you can't have details from media or televisions...  They will report against what is prevailing there.  i am not finding fault with them.  They will report something with interest.  But, now the real situation is the people realised that saddam rule is better than now.  They realised that they want to stand on their own legs.  They dislike the presence for foreign forces.  They want to live on their own.  The govt also realised the people's feelings.  i think the govt also not interested about the staying of foreign forces.  The people suffered a lot under the dictatorship of saddam and more sufferings by the foreign forces.  so,  they feel and dislike other's intervensions.  They want to rule their country.  This is the feeling of every iraqian are having.   i think this is what they feel and the real situvation there.

Well, I'm glad to see you are smart enough to know NOT to turn to those media sources, and many other ones, for  your answer.  Also, let me suggest that  your question is waaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too comprehensive and multi-faceted to expect an unbiased an intelligent answer from this source.  I've been on YAnswers before under a different name and got beyond Level 7, so I have the experience here to know that this is NOT the place to get an intelligent answer.  Let me recommend that  you use numerous sources for your answer, but NEVER the liberal media, of which you named two notorious sources.  I can recommend the website  www.MRC.org as a source well known for it's attack on the liberal propaganda machine and a presentation of a more balanced approach to all news subjects.  MRC stands for Media Research Center, and I've been a member of that website for a few years now, and I can guarantee that you'll appreciate it's more balanced and objective presentation of the news of all issues, including the war in Iraq.   God Bless you.

You will never get a true answer from any media.  Try talking to someone who has just got home.  That is the only real way to now.
