It seems that people need to learn how to remain calm when facing a difficult situation, but they never have to learn how get angry. What could be the reason for this difference between the emotional responses of remaining calm and getting angry?

  1. Anger is a secondary emotion caused by either hurt or fear. It's easier for some people to exhibit anger than to learn the necessary coping skills to help remain calm. Anger is an important emotion though. It depends on if anger is expressed in a healthy way or not.
