There are discussions in public that the staff, particularly officer staff is sitting quite late & at times even after 10.00P.M.

A person told that a Regional Head of a bank has instructed the Branch Managers to ensure that no officer staff should leave the office before 10.00P.M. Can any Regional head give such instructions?

What is your observation about late sitting in PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS?.

What is your observation about general working conditions of Bank Employees? Are they being paid less than their counter parts in STATE BANK OF INDIA, Central Governament, Other PUBLIC SECTOR ENTERPRISE.

  1. To complete daily work. To give best customer service. I am in office from 0930 to 2030. All get best reward for extra work. I daughter is in Am.Exp. She is out for more than 14 hours. Working upto 2200 hrs. is really bad. Office should close at 2000 hrs.

  2. what u have heard about the instructions is absolutely wrong. No boss will ever issue such instructions. If some one is telling u hat he is only trying cover up the fact that the person is going somewhere else and telling his faimily that he is in the bank. some people do sit late and finish off the days work. The persons delaing in cash and cheques clearing have to finalise /settle the accounts same day before they leave for the day and some might be sitting late to settle the accounts. but as a rule no one sits late just because the boss has instructed. Bank employess, now a days, are one of the best paid employees in public sector enteprises. if u are talking of debt waiver scheme, what has this got to with the wages of any government or bank employee. It clearly shows that u dont even know what u are talking about.
