How can u get bar managers to tell u if ur hired or not?

How can you get them to just tell you they don't want you to work there instead of them using you for a good time?

Examples: Making a second meeting with you by having an employee pretend to be a manager and telling you to come back to see the real manager the next day for an interview, they tell you the real managers name, and to be there, the real manager is in the back hiding or doing whatever, and on the day that your "pretend" interview is they real manager walks past you and says they never had an appointment with you and doesnt know who you are and has someone else there at your time waiting to be interviewed?

Or they say they just hired a bunch of people

or after the interview they say they're going to have a company meeting and that they're going to show your application to the supervisor and the supervisor will call you if they need a bartender/server.

  1. Who knows what some people think? Some get carried away with a wee bit of authority so don't take it personally.

The best bet is to wait 2 or 3 days after an interview for a phone call. If nothing comes then call in and ask if you have the job.  If you are called in for a second interview then that is the breaking point. If the job is offered take it or not. If, after 10 minutes or so, the job is not offered you should excuse yourself and leave. Don't stay around to play the game of some egotistical manager.

Acutally, I think you should be looking for a job in a very nice restaurant. You could make as much money (including tips)and the environment is far nicer.

    Cheers!
