  1. UN-BISQUICK PANCAKES

    2 c. buttermilk

    2 eggs or 3 whites

1/4 c. oil or melted butter

    1/4 c. honey

    1 1/4 c. whole wheat flour

    1/2 c. white flour

    1/4 c. wheat germ

    1 tsp. baking soda

    1/2 tsp. salt

    1 tsp. vanilla

Blend liquid ingredients together until well mixed. Blend dry ingredients in separate bowl, then add all at once to liquid mixture beating only until large lumps disappear. Use a fork or whisk, over beating will make pancakes tough. Cook on a lightly greased griddle or skillet over medium-high heat (375 degrees). Makes 16-20 small pancakes.

  2. check the box and divide by 2-3

  3. I hardley ever use the eggs and other stuff. I just add some mix into the bowl and then add a little water to the right consistency.

Or you can make up the batter and either keep it in the fridge for a day or 2, or make up all the pancake and wrap them up in plastic wrap and freeze or refridgerate them.

  4. All the recipes I am finding yield 14-15.  The egg is the hardest thing to cut.  I would suggest using and "egg beaters" egg substitute.  This way you can have a half or quarter "egg" and cut any yummy recipe.

  5. Did you NOT learn "division and fractions" in school?  Use only 1/4 of the ingredients they say to use for 14 pancakes.  Half would be for 7 pancakes.  1/4 would be for 3 or 3.5 pancakes (roughly)!

  6. need some math classes

  7. halve the recipe.

  8. I think it's 3 to 1.

Example: 3 cups of flour...1 cup of milk

I always just use one egg no matter what.

  9. well you could always just savee the rest for later

  10. FLUFFY PANCAKES

    Dry Ingredients:

    1 1/4 cup flour

    1/4 cup sugar

    2 teaspoons baking powder

    1 teaspoon baking soda

    pinch salt

    Liquid Ingredients:

    1 1/4 cups milk

1/4 cup oil or melted butter

    1 egg

    1 teaspoon vanilla

In a medium bowl, combine dry ingredients. In a measuring cup, combine liquid ingredients.

Pour liquid ingredients into dry ingredients and mix to combine.

Preheat frying pan. When frying pan is hot enough, a drop of water will "dance" and sizzle away.

With a good non-stick frying pan, you won't have to use cooking spray. If not, use cooking spray or a small pat of butter.

Pour a soup ladle full of batter into the frying pan.

Flip when the top has bubbles and a half inch of the edge looks dry.

For extra fluffy pancakes, separate the egg and whip the white until soft peaks form. Buttermilk may be also be used instead of milk - reduce baking powder to 1 1/2 teaspoons and 1/2 teaspoon soda. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, if desired.

    Makes about eight 8-inch pancakes.

You can freeze the rest or put the leftovers in the fridge and re-heat them later.

Honestly, using Bisquick for pancakes results in horrible pancakes. They just aren't that exciting. You can get really simple as this: http://www.recipezaar.com/157549

  11. Just cut down on the amount of Bisquick called for (maybe one cup).  Use one egg and enough milk to get the batter to the right consistency.

You can also make great rolls by using 1 cup of Bisquick and enough milk to get it to dropping consistency.  Bake in a muffin tin until at 350 degrees until brown.  Great with butter or gravy.

    mmmm.  I'm getting hungry

  12. Those 14 pancakes are really small ones.  :)  I would just halve the recipe.  1 cup Bisquick mix, 1/2 cup milk & one egg.
