What is the recipe to Bob's famous Chili Spaghetti?

For years, I have traditionally ordered Bob's Chili Spaghetti on my Birthday and have been dying to know the recipe. A friend of mine in high school came really close to the recipe and gave it to me but I lost it. I was very bummed. Does anyone know the recipe or something very similar to Bob's recipe?

This is as close as it gets sister!!

11⁄2 pounds regular ground beef, not extra lean

1 large onion, chopped

11⁄2 cups uncooked spaghetti, broken up

1 can (16 oz.) kidney beans, well drained

2 teaspoons chili powder, or to taste

2 cups tomato juice

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1⁄4 to 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

Shredded cheese, if desired for topping



Preheat oven to 350 F for about 1⁄2 hour.

Brown and drain ground beef. Chop onion and add to meat. Using a 21⁄2 qt. baking dish, sprayed with cooking oil, alternate layers of meat with onions, then spaghetti and then beans...etc.

Mix chili powder, salt and pepper, Worcestershire sauce, cumin and tomato juice in saucepan; bring to a slight boil. Stir well. Pour over meat mixture.

Bake (uncovered) at 350 F for about one hour or until done.

If you like, melt cheese of choice on top during the last several minutes. Allow to stand about 5 minutes before serving.
