What is the recommended age to wear contacts?

I do not believe there really is a recommended age for wearing contacts.  It is really dependent on the individual wearing them.  The youngest person I knew who wore contact was 10 years old.  

Wearing contacts require additional responsibility on the part of the wearer to make sure they are cleaned and stored properly.  They are worn in accordance with the doctor's instructions and that wearer has regular exams to make sure his/her eyes are healthy.

I know some adults who are not responsible enough for contact lenses and have eye infections on a regular basis.  There are some children and teens who take better care of their eyes.

I started wearing a contact lens in my left eye when I was 30.

I got my contacts when i was 12 but it doesnt really matter!! i would say 11-12 years old.  but if u want them now then i think that that is fine!
