What is the recommended cranking amps for a 2002 cavalier?

I put a new starter in my car yet it is still slow to start. My battery has 525 cranking amps. Should I buy a battery with more cranking amps?

If the engine is a 2.2L  or 2.4lL the original battery was 465 cold cranking amps, so a 525 should be ok, if it is in good condition!

Many parts stores will test them right in your car for free! you may want to call ahead!

Things to check! Connections, air filter, plugs, oil and filter, fuel filter, fuel pump, bad fuel!

Does the engine seem to be turning fast as you crank the engine,but it just won't start? If so, it is probably  not a battery problem!
