  2. Hate to tell ya the octane rating is a joke...

  3. 91 is basic unleaded, this should be fine. the higher octane levels are good for long trips, not around town stopping and starting.

  4. If you're Galant has an inline 4 engine, 87 octane would suffice. If it comes with a V6 engine, you know premium fuel is recommended. Octane rating of 91-93. But the word is "recommended." It's not a must, but to get the maximum output of the V6, higher octane is necessary.
