Also, can someone verify if these are true:

-Antonio Margarito holds the record of 1675 punches THROWN in 12 rounds against Joshua Clottey.

-Phillip Holiday holds the record of 555 LANDED punches in 12 rounds

I'm just curious of who holds the record for most thrown and/or landed punches in one round and if these other records of 12 rounds are true.

I'm not sure if it's a record or not, but Troy Dorsey and Kevin Kelly threw more leather in a fight that I've ever seen.  Non stop fighting from bell to bell, round to round.

The record for most punches thrown in a single round is held by Vince Phillips.  He threw 237 punches in the 12th and final round of his decision loss to Ray Oliveira on 12/22/2000.  The record for most punches landed in a round is held by Rocky Gannon.  He landed 99 punches in the 4th round of his 7th round TKO victory over Undra White on 9/13/1996.  

As far as the other records go, they are correct- Margarito beat Zack Padilla's record of 1596 when Padilla beat Ray Oliveira, so Margarito currently holds the record with 1675.  

Phillip Holiday does hold the record for most punches landed in 12 FULL rounds, but the record for most punches landed in a 12 round fight is currently held by Cecilo Espino with 637 punches landed in his 11th round KO over Luigi Camputaro on 1/26/1992.
