  1. The annual Race Across America is held every year. About 3000 miles and the winners usually do it in 8 or 9 days.  They usually go at least 24 hours and 400+ miles before they take a break.

Just last week, someone broke the record for consecutive hours on a stationary bike. About 177 hours! They estimated he rode about 2000 miles. He was allowed 5 minute breaks each hour and could accumulate his breaks.  He took a total of 12 hours and 40 minutes of breaks of which about 9 1/2 hours were for sleep.

  2. Oh, just one lap... I don't really know. I know that someone rode around the world (excluding the water) and that when they did it, they crossed some huge amount of australia in a very short time.

Find that guy and you'll have your answer, I bet.
