What is the recovery period like after carpal tunnel surgery?

do you go to therapy, are you in a lot of pain? do they numb you before they do the surgery, i heard you are awake?

  1. I think you just have to drive coworkers back and forth through the tunnel...come on that was funny!  Carpool tunnel!  The best part is that if you can type to say something bad towards me, I have succeeded in helping you recover!  So go ahead and bitc& me out...it will do you some good!


  2. yes you need therapy if you can afford it even after the insurance it costs you and the driving i went to just a couple of session and did the rest on my own i did great with it. and for the pain yes you will hurt for sometime. sweetie yes they numb you alot its a nerve block and they tell you that you will be awake but i didn't remember the surgery at all because they put you in a twight zone. i have had several surgery like that and i don't remember none of them just wakeing up of course without pain that comes a couple of hours later. but that pain was worth it because the carpal tunnel was getting the best of me day and night my nights were pure h**l my hand felt like it was in pit of fire all night.
