  1. the word ped......means feet.......the word bi .........means two.....so walking on two feet (upright) I suppose. and food gives us energy to move.........so you must eat food to walk.....

  2. Bipedalism is a more efficient way of walking and require less

energy than quadrupedal ism and therefore requires less food.

  3. If an animal is a browser or in other words has a wide and varied diet of small edibles then they have to develop a grasping appendage to collect that food in an efficient and in acceptable quantities and to manipulate that food since not all parts of the food stuffs are edible. In mammals cases its been the formations of hands and the ability to move ( at least temporarily) on the hind legs. Humans, Apes, Raccoons, Rats, Monkeys, all have developed hands to one degree or another and can maneuver into an upright or crouched position to free those appendages to manipulate their food.

  4. Bi-pedalism enabled us to reach up into the trees for food etc., also we were able to walk/run & carry food from one point to another. Also, we developed tools to hunt animals with to ensure that our species would prevail, & not become extinct as others did.

  5. You could argue that bipedalism allows for the hands to be free and then one could be able to carry and gather more foods with less work. A bipedal species may be able to share foods with other members of a group as well as collect more nuts and berries in one go.

  6. Bipedalism is standing, or moving for example by walking, running, or hopping, on two appendages (typically legs).

So basically when we walk or move while we carry food or we go moving looking for food
