  1. Typography is a part of the overall graphic design of something. It's the part that deals with text and words.


  2. graphic design is anything to do with visual layout and presentation, such as a book cover.  it can also be used as a type of art form.  typography is a subcategory or a tool that can be used in graphic design.  typography is the way you organize the text in your design.  sometimes (you can find videos of this on youtube), they also have animated typography, where the words move around and tell a story.  this sort of typography is also considered a type of graphic design.
