  1. Height of a person does not always correlate with length of foot.  I am 5ft7in, and have very long feet, but I know plenty of people taller than me with smaller feet than I have.

  2. I found a formula from a study of children in Greece. The sample of the study consisted of 5,093 children (average age: 11.47 ± 2.71 years), who were examined during school period from 1996 to 2005. All statistical models were found to be significant and indicated that both right and left foot length were independent predictors of either height or weight. From all models fitted, the model having the greater predictive value was described by the formula:

    height (cm) = 34.113 + 1.558 (if girl) + 3.716 * (right foot length (cm))  + 2.499 * (age(years))

    I hope that helps...

In your case, we would need to know the person's age and gender.  I'll arbitrarily assume they are female and 13 years old.

    height (cm) = 34.113 + 1.558 + 3.716 * 23.5  + 2.499 * 13

    = 156 cm

I don't know anything about the variation or whether it is relevant to other nationalities or ages (probably not completely), but it gives you an idea of a formula that could be used.

  3. That's crazy. There is no true, consistant relationship between the length of your foot and how tall a person is! Think about it. You must have a friend who is the same height as you. Is their foot size the same as your own? Maybe but probably not!
