  1. Social change is manifested by continual expansion in the time direction which points toward the future, while embracing the foundation which was formed in the past.

    However, social change is more of a mental, or consciousness construct, which tends not to follow strict and formal physical laws which are ascribed to the continual change of space and time in the physical universe.
