What is the relationship between teenagers and social life?

I know what is the meaning by social life but why do people often think that social life is just for teenagers? What is the relationship between them? and one more can you please use simple words so I can understand you better...Thanks for your answers...

The same as it is for everyone else, basically.

"Why do people think it's just for teenagers?"  They don't, really.  But TV, commercials, magazines often spotlight teens because they think (and they are usually right) that money can be made by doing that.
